MotionStar

MotionStar is the most cost-effective means of tracking full-body motions in the world today. Developed with animators world-wide, MotionStar is a "turn-key" motion-capture solution when purchased with appropriate animation software and workstation. It comes in a fully-integrated enclosure with a fast Ethernet interface to your computer.

The rack-mounted chassis houses all electronics and a high speed interface to your host computer. Each sensor is connected to the chassis by a 35-foot cable and can be bundled together for unhindered performance.
 


 

MotionStar Wireless 2

MotionStar Wireless 2 with new and improved Advanced DC Tracking Technology and our Environmental Analyzer, which we will loan to you, overcomes the metal, noise and accuracy problems that once plagued magnetic mocap.
Use it to capture the full-body motions of as many as five performers in real time for multiple character interaction. Without occlusion or perceptible lag. No other motion-capture system in the world captures as many performers as quickly and accurately as MotionStar Wireless 2.


ReActor2

ReActor2 captures the movements of an untethered performer ? free to move in a capture area bordered by modular bars that fasten together. The digital detectors embedded in the frame provide full coverage of performers while minimizing blocked markers. The Instant Marker Recognition instantly reacquires blocked markers for clean data. This means less post processing and a more efficient motion capture pipeline.



 

LaserBIRD 2

A precise optical tracker for the most demanding tracking environments. Designed for head and object tracking in simulator, medical and 3D visualization applications.

laserBIRD 2 continuously scans the work space enabling its sensor to instantly sense emitted laser beams. Signals are then directed back to the scanner's DSP electronics for processing and output of position and orientation data to a host computer.


Flock of Birds

The Flock can be configured to track from one to four sensors simultaneously with one or more RS-232 interfaces to a host computer. Long range coverage is easily added by "clicking in" our Extended-Range Transmitter (ERT/ERC). For high speed operations, add more RS-232 ports and use our Fast Bird Bus (FBB).


Nest of BIRDS

The Nest of Birds simultaneously tracks the position and orientation of up to 4 sensors, providing high speed, accurate tracking data. Plugging directly into a USB or RS-232 interface, the Nest's installation CD lets you get up and running fast! Ascension's DC magnetic tracking technology allows the Nest to accurately track with minimal interference by conductive metals.


pciBIRD

DC Magnetic tracker with an electronics card powered by the PCI bus on your personal computer. pciBIRD works with 1 or 2 sensors, either 8mm or 25 mm in diameter.


miniBIRD

miniBIRD offers full functionality of our other DC magnetic trackers, with miniaturized sensors as small as 5mm wide. The miniBIRD 800 is also available as an ISA-based configuration that supports simultaneous tracking of two 8mm sensors.

Miniaturized Sensors for IntraBody Navigation and Localization

Locating medical instruments in 3D space is a key requirement for image-guided procedures.

With that knowledge, clinicians can display an overlay of instrument coordinates onto pre-operative scans or real-time images. They also can guide tools to anatomical targets for intervention and delivery of therapeutic agents. Combined with imaging modalities, the tracker lets clinicians "see" through the patient for internal guidance and navigation.


Because targeting devices must function within the human body and be metal tolerant, there is an emerging need for new tracking technology. It must be accurate, unobtrusive and unaffected by line-of-sight or environmental issues.

microBIRD is a new Ascension tracker that meets these requirements.

Features include 6 DOF DC magnetic tracker with a sensor diameter of just 1.3 mm - small enough for insertion into 4 French catheters. It also offers conductive metal immunity. microBIRD provides precise, instantaneous tip localization of biomedical instruments.

Designed primarily for medical device manufacturers, microBIRD may not be incorporated into a customer's medical systems until all pertinent FDA and other regulatory approvals are attained.
